At Personal Performance we are committed to empowering others in pursuit of their passions and a healthy lifestyle. We provide a multidisciplinary team of professionals that help our clients improve their wellness, physical fitness, and longevity. Whether you are just getting started, or have been chasing a goal for a while, we want to help you achieve your best.

Our Team

Eoghan White

Eoghan has been a personal trainer for over 15years. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, he came to the U.S. to play college basketball and has called South Carolina home ever since. Over his career he has gained an extensive knowledge of exercise and fitness, which he uses to help clients achieve their specific goals.

  • Proud husband to wife Jill and father to Liam, Caden, and let’s not forget Cullen their golden retriever

  • Will make you do sets of 15 because his basketball number was 15

  • Is far away from mastering the game but plays golf any chance he gets

Jamie Tobin, PT, DPT, CSCS

Jamie has found his way to the Lowcountry after graduating from Miami University with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and earning a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Jamie will teach you to move forward and become more aware of your body. He teaches movement efficiency with walking, running, and jumping. Many athletes, especially rotation athletes will relate to the positions that will be taught, the timing of the movement, and the power it creates. He provides clients with purposeful sessions that challenge them physically without sacrificing longevity and function.

Erin Winters

Originally from Michigan, Erin moved to Charleston to follow her passion for personal training and fitness. Erin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance from McNeese State University, where she played soccer all four years. She is passionate about helping people succeed and loves fostering relationships with her clients in order to help them their goals. In her free time, Erin enjoys going on long runs, exploring her new home in the Lowcountry, and eating her way around the great spots in Charleston.

  • Half of Erin’s family lives in England

  • Erin is a devoted dog mom to her chocolate lab, Scout

  • Prior to moving to the Palmetto State, Erin had never even visited South Carolina

Nicole Tawes

Born in our Nation’s capital, Nicole grew up in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. Upon graduating with her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from East Carolina University in 2006, Nicole found her way to the Lowcountry with an internship at the MUSC Wellness Center. Rounding out her education, Nicole earned her Master’s in Health, Exercise, Sport and Science from The Citadel in 2010. From an early age, Nicole was exposed to the benefits of exercise, with both parents leading a healthy lifestyle and going to the gym regularly. Now a mother of two, Nicole hopes to pass this lifestyle on to her daughters and set a good example for them, while still educating others on the benefits of exercise along the way.

  • Has competed in and finished the Marine Corps Marathon

Blake Deice

Born and raised in Texas, Blake made his way to the Lowcountry after graduating from Texas A&M University. While pursuing his degree in Kinesiology, Blake had the opportunity to learn from members of the Team USA sports medicine staff, and even work with a handful of Olympians! Now, he enjoys helping others set and meet goals that will allow them to crush their next race, set a new PR, or just feel better during their everyday life. Outside of work, you can find Blake on the beach, browsing Facebook Marketplace, or serving the Charleston community with his church.

  • Blake & his wife have been together since middle school

  • Blake’s go-to source of caffeine is a Cherry Slush Alani

  • During the pandemic, Blake got stuck in the Dominican Republic for an additional 10 days

Billy Lankford

A native to the state, Billy grew up in Lugoff, SC. After obtaining a degree in nutrition from Clemson he moved to Charleston to pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at MUSC. Billy is an experienced personal trainer & believes that movement is medicine. When he’s not studying, you can find Billy hanging with friends at the beach, or out at a new restaurant.

  • Billy is a loyal Clemson and Atlanta Braves fan

  • Has a twin brother
  • Recently learned to surf

Kayla Mounce

Kayla is an Ohio native, but has been living in Charleston since 2010. Her passion for massage therapy first originated from seeing how much it helped her step-father deal with chronic pain. Kayla has been practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2016 & has continuously seen the positive impact it can have on people. Kayla has worked in both spa and clinical settings, and has pursued certifications in prenatal massage and ACE massage cupping. She has also extensive experience in, swedish, deep tissue, & clinical neuromuscular therapy techniques. When Kayla isn’t helping others improve their wellness, she takes care of herself by reading, working out, playing games, and spending time outside with her husband, David, and son, Oliver.

Alyssa Thomas

Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Alyssa moved to the Holy City in 2021 to complete her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the College of Charleston. Ultimately, she plans to pursue a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy. Alyssa has always valued exercise and the wellness it affords. Combined with her passion for helping others achieve their goals, she wants to see her clients live a happier and healthier life. Alyssa enjoys serving others and volunteers weekly at MUSC. In her free time you can find her working out, playing pickleball with her friends, or going to the beach.

  • Alyssa holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do

  • Lived in Italy for a month

  • Is a descendent of a former US president
